Enhancing Farming Efficiency with Auto Steer Systems
Auto steer systems have become essential tools for farmers, significantly reducing labor and costs across various farming activities such as harrowing, sowing, fertilizing, and harvesting. They offer numerous functionalities that aid in making informed decisions.
However, their effectiveness can be compromised by weakened GNSS signals in remote areas with unreliable network connections and challenges in managing tractor-mounted equipment.
The F100 Spring Version addresses these challenges. In this blog post, we will explore the six new features that make the F100 Spring Version the ultimate tractor guidance solution.
Galileo PPP
In an auto steer system, the correction source is crucial for accurate positioning. Galileo PPP, available since 24/01/2024, is ideal for users without nearby reference stations or mobile base stations. It offers free, network-independent accuracy of about 10cm.
To activate Galileo PPP:
- Go to Menu, tap Device Settings
- Choose PPP from Correction Source
- Select Galileo PPP
Super Low Speed
The Super Low Speed mode ensures precision and stability for delicate tasks requiring speeds below 1 km/h, such as seeding or spraying.
To activate Super Low Speed:
- Go to Homepage - Menu
- Go to Menu - Device Settings
- Enable Super Low Speed under Automatically Driving Settings
Deadband Settings
The Deadband Settings prevent steering wheel movements from not turning drive wheels. This feature is particularly useful for no-angle sensor users.
To configure Deadband Settings:
- Go to Homepage, tap Menu
- Go to Device Settings, then Angle Sensor Calibration
- Choose No Angle Sensor and input desired deadband value
- Tap Calibration to save settings
Tramline
The Tramline feature marks lanes for plant protection, ensuring crop safety during operations like spraying.
To use Tramline:
- Go to Menu - Field Settings
- Choose Guidance Line
- Select Tramline for setting
Headland (Advanced Mode only)
The Headland feature generates guidance lines based on field boundaries, improving land utilization in irregular fields.
To use Headland:
- Go to Menu - Application Settings
- Under Automatically Driving Settings, choose Guidance Line Type, and select Headland
- Return to Homepage and go to Create Interface to generate headland guidance lines
ISOBUS
ISOBUS support in the Spring Version facilitates seamless integration between tractors and implements from different manufacturers.
